QUIET RIOT is a rock & roll phenomenon. Famously described as the first heavy metal band to top the pop
chart at #1 on Billboard magazine, the Los Angeles quartet became an overnight sensation thanks to their
monster 1983 smash album “Metal Health”.

QUIET RIOT first signed a record deal with Pasha records in the dawn of the 80’s at a time when radio was
dominated by the “new wave” sound. Their hard driving pop metal sound was deemed “out” by record labels so
the debut album “Metal Health” was against the grain. Driven by the irresistible double whammy of the
rendition of the old Slade chestnut "Cum on Feel the Noize,” and their original song “Metal Health” (Bang your
head) the album stormed up the U.S. charts, duly reaching the number one spot and going platinum five times
over in the process. Against all odds it jumped over Michael Jackson’s “Thriller and “Synchronicity” by The
Police to land in the number one slot on the Billboard album chart.

This opened the door for the other Sunset Strip “Hair Metal” bands to get their record deals and kicked off the
craze that dominated MTV and radio in the 80’s.

The sales of the “Metal Health” album have now well exceeded the 10 million mark worldwide. Quiet Riot went
on to have other hits and over a dozen albums and still plays live with a line up consisting of Rudy Sarzo, Alex
Grossi, Jizzy Pearl and Johnny Kelly.

In short, most every hard rock fan of the “80’s metal” genre knows who BRITNY FOX is. In
short, most every hard rock fan of the “80’s metal” genre knows who BRITNY FOX
is. BRITNY FOX formed in Philadelphia in 1986. The band released their self-titled
debut album in 1988 which went on to sell over a million copies producing two hit
singles “Girlschool” and “Long Way to Love”. During that time, vocalist/rhythm guitarist,
“Dizzy” Dean Davidson, Lead guitarist, Michael Kelly Smith, Bass guitarist, Billy
Childs, and Drummer, Johnny Dee toured extensively in support of the album. Shortly
after the release of their second album, “Boys in Heat” Davidson departed the lineup.

In 1990 Davidson was replaced by vocalist/rhythm guitarist, Tommy Paris. Paris
brought new ideas and a rejuvenating energy to the band which resulted in the 1991
release of their third album, “Bite Down Hard.” “Bite Down Hard” was highly
regarded as one of their best efforts to date. However, the album did not gain the
deserved attention due to the changing music climate at the time and BRITNY FOX
disbanded in 1992.

That same line-up returned in 2000 with a tour and a live album “Long Way To Live”
recorded along the way. In 2003, shortly after the release of their fourth album
titled “Springhead Motorshark”, BRITNY FOX parted ways for other opportunities.
Bringing us to 2022, Billy decided to reform the version from 2007 to 2009 featuring
Greg Polcari frtom Nova Rex, Henry Now on drums with new frontman Ronnie
Rodgers, a mainstay of the east coast rock scene. The guys bring a fresh take on
Britny's blues based style, including such hits as "Dream On", Long Way to Love, Save
the Weak, Girlschool and others. The more things change, the more they stay the
same, and in Britny Fox's case this remains very true as the new/old lineup delivers a
solid take on not only the hits but the deeper classic cuts they were known for. Britny is
playing festivals from M3 to the UK and receiving good reviews and happy fans along
the way, hearing the songs they grew up with in MTV's hay day when bands such as
theirs garnered so much attention and sales to match, playing shows with Bon Jovi,
Poison, Ratt, Joan Jett among many others worldwide.

Aaron Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind – the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis’ creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts – TOWN LINE (2011) and SINNER (2016) – plus a PLATINUM collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”), and a GOLD-certified Billboard No. 1 with “Am I The Only One” in 2021. Lewis’ 2022 solo album followed suit, with FRAYED AT BOTH ENDS emerging as the best-selling Country album in America but he never wrote songs for the stats. No matter the sonic setting, Lewis writes and sings to get his truth out and his latest album THE HILL (2024) is no different.

Sterling Elza is a Red Dirt singer/songwriter raised deep in the Texas Panhandle. Born into a ranching family that already had 3 musicians, Sterling  took to music from the beginning with guitar lessons starting at the age of 5. Drawing influences from his parents’ music which could range from “old school Red Dirt” to top 40 country all the way to grunge and classic rock, Sterling began his musical journey. Sterling continued taking guitar lessons until he moved to Florida where he played tennis at the IMG Academy. After the passing of his uncle – “Big Ster” -- and 3 years in Florida, Sterling decided it was time to make a change and fully commit to a life and career in music. A move back to Texas seemed like the perfect choice for a budding songwriter. Now calling New Braunfels home, Sterling launched into the Red Dirt scene with the 2024 release of his debut album, Simpler Days. His album cracked the Top 25 Rock Albums on Apple, and the following week, his single Next Week entered the Top 40 Apple Rock Songs chart. The love of music and the passion to perform drive him to continue perfecting his craft and learning from some of the best in the business. With a five-piece band and a wall of sound, it won’t be long before Sterling Elza is a household name in Red Dirt music.

With sky-high hooks, riffs as thick as a 2x4, rumbling grooves, and a razor-sharp sense of humor, Theory Of A Deadman) have quietly persisted as an unapologetic, unbreakable, and undeniable hard rock force with major multi-platinum hits and countless sold out shows in each of the past two decades. Jamming together in basements throughout high school, the band burst out of their small hometown of North Delta, British Columbia with the self-titled, Theory of a Deadman, during 2002. In addition to the double-platinum breakthrough album Scars & Souvenirs [2008] and gold-certified The Truth Is… [2011], they have notched a procession of hits, including the gold-certified “All Or Nothing,” “Bitch Came Back,” and “Lowlife,” platinum-certified “Angel,” “Hate My Life,” and “Not Meant To Be,” double-platinum “Bad Girlfriend,” and triple-platinum “RX (Medicate).” As the biggest smash of their career this far, the latter marked their third #1 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks Chart and garnered a nomination for “Rock Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. They have logged two Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200. In 2020, Say Nothing landed at #2 on the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart and #3 on the Rock Albums Chart. Plus, it earned praise from American Songwriter, Billboard, and Classic Rock Magazine who awarded it “4-out-of-5 stars.” Now, the award-winning quartet—Tyler Connolly [lead vocals, guitar], Dave Brenner [guitar, backing vocals], Dean Back [bass], and Joey Dandeneau [drums, backing vocals] have teamed up with Canadian country star Cory Marks to create a new version of their 2014 track “Livin’ My Life Like A Country Song”. Tyler had this to say, “it was a blast tracking this little ditty! Excited for everyone to hear our reimagined ‘Livin’ My life Like A Country Song’ with our friend Cory Marks! Catch it live on the Unplugged Tour this Fall!"

10 Years Classic Logo-WHITE.png

Growth transpires over a lifetime. The process never stops. Rather, it ramps up as time passes. 10 Years accelerate this cycle on their ninth full-length album, Violent Allies [Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group]. The gold-certified Knoxville, TN alternative hard rock trio—Jesse Hasek [vocals], Brian Vodinh [guitar (live) /drums, bass, backing vocals (recording), and Matt Wantland [guitar / synth programming]—progress as a unit once more. Embracing heightened vulnerability, elevated songcraft, and sonic adventurousness, they convert the push-and-pull of their collective creativity into a cohesive, clear, and cathartic body of work.

“We don’t ever try to recreate what we’ve done in the past,” explains Jesse. “We knew we had to challenge ourselves to see what we had in us. If it’s not stressful, you’re not challenging yourself to grow. From the beginning, music has always been therapy and an outlet. We let ourselves enjoy the process, be vulnerable, and talk about those emotions. We got back to why we love music with the maturity of where we’re at in our lives. We were able to harness that love of creating from a wiser and more developed perspective.”

“We were hard on ourselves,” admits Brian. “It was more intense than during records past, but it was worth it. The outcome was exactly what we wanted it to be.”

For nearly two decades, 10 Years have quietly pushed themselves and modern rock towards evolution. Building a formidable catalog, the group’s gold-selling 2005 breakthrough The Autumn Effect yielded the hit “Wasteland,” which went gold, infiltrated the Billboard Hot 100, and clinched #1 at Active Rock Radio and #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart. They landed three Top 30 entries on the Billboard Top 200 with Division [2008], Feeding the Wolves [2010], and Minus the Machine [2012]. Most recently, 2017’s (How to Live) As Ghosts marked a reunion between Jesse, Brian, and Matt and achieved marked success. Not only did the album bow in the Top 5 of the US Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, but it also yielded the hit “Novacaine.” The single ascended to the Top 5 of the Billboard US Mainstream Rock Songs Chart and tallied 16 million Spotify streams, alongside 29 million streams across all dsp’s. The cumulative total for all track streams from repertoire on How To Live (As Ghosts) exceeds 51 million plays. Along the way, they sold out countless headline shows and toured with everyone from Korn, Deftones, and Stone Sour to Chris Cornell and Linkin Park. During 2019, these three musicians headed to Los Angeles, rented an Airbnb in Woodland Hills, and spent five weeks recording with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer and Feeding the Wolves collaborator Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace].

When talking to the band members they share, “Time spent in the studio or simply collaborating on our vision was a catalyst in reaching creative clarity like we’ve never had before. It reminded all three of us that this bond created over the last two decades is best served when individual voices becomes collective vision. It was fun, because we were back to being brothers. No matter how frustrated we might get, once we looked out at it, the energy was unexplainable. Our mission was to really connect with the songs, break them down, and build them back up.” Brian adds, “The younger versions of us would’ve been going to Hollywood every night and partying.
It was different. We actually came up with a lot of ideas, melody tweaks, and had really good brainstorming sessions in the car on the PCH. The whole vibe contributed to what the record is.

All we cared about was writing and recording the best songs we possibly could. We felt like we had something to prove, especially to our A&R guy and the President of North America for Mascot Ron Burman.”

They prove it on cuts like the first single “The Shift.” Melodic guitars slide across a caustic beat before a rush of distortion ignites the refrain, “We are a violent virus, without a remedy.” “Lyrically, it’s about the polarization of society and the human impact on the earth itself,” states Brian. “We were thinking about how humans can be a virus to the Earth.”

While in the studio last fall, we were looking at the state of the world as we wrote ‘The Shift’,” Jesse reveals. “As a society, we’re so distracted that we’re not united. When the pandemic happened, it became so important to finally see the positivity of humanity. We’ve realized we’re all in this together. You can pick a side, but we’re sitting in the same realm.” Airy keys echo through “The Unknown.” It builds towards a sweeping celestial chorus. “We’re in a wide-open world we’ve created, but we have to step back and look at where we are and adapt,” continues Jesse. “We’re all in the unknown right now.” A clean riff snakes past the verses of “Without You” before a hypnotic hook unfurls. The instrumental “Planets” interludes thread the album together with soft piano and acoustic as a counterpoint to the explosive energy of “Cut The Cord” and “Start Again.” There is a broad, dynamic range of repertoire on the new album as exhibited by the lead single “The Unknown”’
and its opening with ominous yet hopeful piano notes alongside Jesse’s lamenting uncertain times in the vocals, to the heavy drums and distorted guitars on “Déjà vu.” Everything culminates on “Say Goodbye.” The conclusion’s cinematic soundscape and poignant lyrics bid farewell to Jesse’s late grandfather and emphasize “the band at our most vulnerable,” according to the frontman.

Meanwhile, the title speaks to an overarching theme. “We came back to this quote, ‘There’s a strange power in the joining of unlike things’,” remembers Brian. “There is something incredibly special about how we create. Violent Allies is the perfect way to summarize it. We go through hell facing all challenges head-on, but the final product is worth it. Simultaneously, it reflects the state of divisiveness in The World. Everything is so political. Everyone is angry at each other. We’re better when we come together though.”

In the end, 10 Years keep growing as Violent Allies. “This record wasn’t just another record,” Brian leaves off. “It’s the result of working hard to improve on all levels. There’s a lot to dig into. It’s a graduated state for the band.”

“After all of this time, 10 Years is a brotherhood,” Jesse concludes. “I’ve spent the better half of my life accomplishing what I never thought was possible with these guys. It’s been an unexplainable, crazy, and awesome journey since Brian first asked me to join the band on his 19th birthday. We’ve beat the odds and continue to live life. It bothers me when people don’t try to push themselves to enjoy what life has to offer. Life is beautiful, if you really go for it and try. It can show you beauty—and that’s what this band has shown me.”
